Rutherford House

Description:
The Rutherford House provides both residential and non-residential services designed to help students live successful lives in their homes and communities. Five residential facilities have been organized as alternatives to traditional and sometimes distant training school institutions. Juveniles who have come to the attention of local courts are eligible for intake consideration. Rutherford House staff believe youth in trouble can benefit from treatment in a program created to meet the needs of the individual student. Each student, together with the family, participate in a comprehensive program aimed at successful reintegration fo the child into his/her home. If re-integration is not possible or advisable, Rutherford House works to help the student become independent.

How you can help:
Volunteers as well as interns are always needed. A background check will be used to determine suitability for the program. If volunteering on a regular basis, receive complete orientation on the philosophy and treatment program at Rutherford House. A file will be kept in the main office with reference checks and a criminal background study.
